Dear Editor,
Evidence was shown that daily intake of green tea catechins could prevent cerebral ischemic damage and minimize neurological deficits. However, we have to consider that in this study all rats were previously healthy, and in human beings cerebrovascular diseases may be associated with hypertension, diabetes and dislipidemic conditions. It would be nice to have Studies performed to demonstrate whether green tea has a protective effect on human beings.
